Creating News Releases
The WebCMS includes a content type specifically for creating news releases. The purpose of the content type is to present a consistent look and feel across epa.gov.
How to Create a News Release
News Releases are created within the News Releases web area. You will need to be a member of the web area and assigned editor permissions. The content type ensures the News Release will be listed in the News Release dynamic listing, regardless of the hosting web area.
- Navigate to the News Releases homepage
- Under the Content tab, click on the Add New Content button, then select "News Release"
- In the dialogue window, add the Headline and other information
- Click "Save" when finished
How to Create a Dynamic List of News Releases
- Under the content tab in your web area, click the Add New Content button and select "Basic Page"
- Add your title, content, and metadata
- To add News Releases in the main content, in the Add HTML dropdown located below the body section, select " Add Dynamic List"
Note: The Add HTML options for the sidebar is also located below the body section

- Once the Dyanamic List is selected, a View dropdown becomes visible
- Select "Dynamic LIst: News Releases." This will open the Display dropdown
- Select "News Releases" to open the dialogue window
- You can now set your options and filters

- Click "Save" when finished
