Creating Content for EPA's Spanish Site
Spanish content on www.epa.gov is managed using a subsite of the WebCMS. EPA's Spanish content is publicly available and can be created, edited, and managed using the Spanish WebCMS.
If you have Spanish content and think you should be working in the Spanish site, please contact Lina Younes (younes.lina@epa.gov) in the Office of Web Communications. The WebCMS Support team will work with Lina, and you, to set up your Spanish web area and add the users required.
The functionality between the two systems is identical, with some minor differences. The primary differences are language overrides so that the theme and various words on the Spanish WebCMS is in, you got it, Spanish. If you're familiar with the WebCMS, you'll know your way around the Spanish WebCMS. You may need to edit the site language in your user profile if you're not familiar enough with Spanish to navigate the administrative screens.
News Releases are not available on the Spanish WebCMS. To publish a News Release in Spanish (or any other languages), create it in the WebCMS, but write it in Spanish. Public Notices are available on the Spanish WebCMS, but they will not show up in the primary Public Notices web area on www.
