User Testing
User Testing is when you invite a user to share their screen as they peruse your site. The user thinks out loud as they navigate the site and shares their thoughts on their experience.
User Testing Steps
- First, reach out to Judy Suzuki (suzuki.judy@epa.gov) to set up a meeting to see if user testing might be a good fit for your group.
- Second, we will hold a Scoping meeting. In the Scoping meeting, we will take a look at the website and talk about what your group would like to get out of the user tests. Who are the stakeholders? What is the current state of the website? What limitations is your group facing?
- Third, we will draw up the questions for the user tests. We will talk about how many user tests your group would like to do, the timeline for conducting the user tests, and who will serve as the users for the user tests.
- Fourth, user test time!
- The final step is a review meeting where we will discuss the findings from the user tests./li>

User Feedback
User Feedback was collected on www.epa.gov websites via a website survey tool. As of 2023, EPA is working to stand up a new website survey tool that will allow us to collect feedback on our websites.
Would you like to see a specific question on our future www.epa.gov survey? Reach out to Judy Suzuki (suzuki.judy@epa.gov) to talk about what you would like to see on the next epa.gov survey.

Usability Reviews
Lost in web analytics? You may request a free usability review to get a wholistic report about your website. How much traffic is my site getting? Are visitors finding what they need? Is it easy to navigate? Are there broken links? Is the site up to date? We will take a deep dive into your site to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the site is doing and identify improvements you could make to make it more user friendly.
