Skills Challenges

EPA WebCMS Users can test their skills by completing these challenges below. These challenges are to be treated as milestones as users progress throughout their WebCMS journey. After a user has completed a challenge, they can request a certificate from WCSD. Thank you for taking the time to become better at using the WebCMS that we at WCSD work constantly to improve. 

Entry Level Skills Challenge

Create a Basic Page

Your Basic Page should:

• Have required metadata elements filled out.
• Have a Title
• In the Body Field, Type the answer to this question: to make a piece of content visible to the public, the content's moderation state must be switched to what status?
• In the Side Bar field type the answer to this question: How long will this page remain published before it needs to be reviewed.

Proficient Level Skills Challenge

Create an Event or Frequent Questions Page

• Event Example Event Example page 2 (png)
• Frequent Example Example of a Frequent Question (png)

Create a Basic Page

Your page should have:

• A Slideshow
• A Box
• and a Card
• Inserted an Image of the Google Analytics Behavior Report for your Web Area
• an inserted PDF
• In the Body Field, Send a link to your Web Area's Site Improve score.

Advanced Level Skills Challenge

Create a Form 

Create a form that the public can use to contact you and ask questions about your page.

Create a Basic Page

Your page should contain:

• Should have a two column section
  • In the first column, reusable paragraph that you are the author of
  • In the second column, add a dynamic list that searches for recently published pages with in your web area
• Should have a one column section 
  • Using pattern lab, create a 3x4 sortable table
