Two-Step Review Process
Step 1: Basic review of EPA Web standards and One EPA Web principles on transforming content
ODC reviews your web areas in the WebCMS to determine if it meets basic EPA Web standards and One EPA Web principles. ODC will also use Successfully Preparing Your Website for ODC Review as part of this review.
Step 2: Content review of One EPA Web requirements
All new web areas will be reviewed by ODC for content as soon as possible after Step 1 is completed.
Note: ODC will decide on a case-by-case basis whether new web areas will be allowed to publish after the Step 1 review is completed (and before the Step 2 review). Or, whether Step 2 needs to be completed before the website is allowed to publish. If there is an urgent need for publication approved by senior management, ODC will conduct our review ASAP following publication.
- ODC will give priority to reviewing web areas that have high visibility for our Web visitors and/or are identified as part of Step 1 as needing special attention.
- All content review comments must be addressed by the Web Council member or EIC within 30 days of receiving ODC's comments.
- The Web Council member or EIC must respond to ODC's comments via email, documenting what changes have been made or providing comments explaining why changes are not appropriate.
- ODC will review the Web Council member or EIC response, and notify the Web Council member and EIC whether ODC gives final approval. Note that additional rounds of ODC review may be necessary before final approval is given.
