Use the form below to request a new web area. This information is sent to the Office of Digital Communications (ODC). ODC will have two full business days to respond to the request. The area will be created if there are no issues with the request.

Web Area Details
These items determine the name of the website and the URL. Please pay close attention to this. If the names you select are not appropriate, THIS FORM WILL BE REJECTED and you will need to resubmit your request. See the Instructions to Complete This Form for more information about how to select a name.
This is the web area name. It will appear as the title on the homepage of the web area.

The Short Name can be the full title or a shortened version of it.

The URL for your site will be generated from the short name with all lower case letters and hyphens between words.

URL generated from the short name:  www.epa.gov/new-bedford-harbor/.

Use this field to specify a URL other than what is generated from the Short Name.

URL generated from the URL overwrite: www.epa.gov/nbh/.

Roles

Provide the user ID of the people you would like to work in the web area and the role you would like them to be in. Your user ID is the ID you use to log into the LAN when you first turn on your computer. Only webmasters and editors can publish content. Read more detailed information about roles. Who (staff, contractors, fellows, SEE employees etc.) is allowed to do what on epa.gov?

NOTE: If no role is provided, we will assign the EIC as webmaster.

Provide the user ID of anyone you would like to add to the web area in this role. People in this role can not publish without going through a review process. They can only edit their own content. Most users who need to review or draft content (without being able to publish) will need this role.

Provide the user ID of anyone you would like to add to the web area in this role. People in this role can publish to the public web site without going through additional review processes. Most users who need to publish content will need this role.
Provide the user ID of no more than two users that you would like to add to the web area in this role. The webmaster role has the most privileges and is only necessary for adding or removing users, deleting webpages created by others, and publishing pages to the public web site without going through additional review processes.  Note: The Editor role suffices for users.
